The Trauma Shop is a special effects and prop shop based out of New York. Conceived by Special FX
Makeup Artist and specialty prop fabricator Joe Amellla, after spending years working in various
effects, prop and puppet shops from NY to LA. Noticing the ever growing demand for high quality
production effects, the Trauma Shop was born. Aside from the Trauma Shops production services, we also have a line of high quality masks, props,
bodies and appliances geared toward the haunted attraction industry, but made with the same
quality standard we use for our film work. Our special effects artists make each piece by hand,
painstakingly detailing every pore, every wrinkle and every scale to give you the most lifelike piece
available. Our techniques have been honed over the years of working with some of the best artists
out there. Our goal is to provide our customers with superior quality products teamed with exceptional
